A Letter From Our Co-Founder, Winston

Today, Venga announced a partnership with QSR Automations who will bring the power of Venga to their waitlist management solution, DineTime! With the new partnership and advancement in our product, I’ve been reflecting on how we got here:

My co-founder Sam and I, with our incredibly talented team, constantly hunger for ways to improve our product by listening to leaders in the hospitality industry. Six years ago, Venga began as the antidote to those crazy Daily Deal sites. Those sites drove restaurants out of business by forcing them to provide deep discounts to customers. Restaurants wanted a better way to market.

We listened. We developed a marketing platform where restaurants controlled the message and instantly published it on their websites, Twitter, Facebook, and an app.

While restaurants liked Venga’s ability to bring in new customers, they craved a solution that would help them better understand their guests’ spend, visit and purchase habits.

We listened. In 2013, we launched our integration between OpenTable and a handful of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Since then, we’ve grown to work with over 1,000 restaurants, track over 50 million guest profiles and $6 billion (yes, with a B) in restaurant sales. We now integrate with every major point-of-sale system, enterprise data warehouses, feedback services, social media and email marketing platforms.

Over the past year, restaurants that didn’t take reservations came to us searching for a similar way to connect their diners to POS data to enable a more personalized connection.

We listened. And that’s how we got to the partnership that we announced earlier today. We’re incredibly honored and humbled to work with QSR and provide their clients with insights into their data and to provide their guests with incredible experiences.
